The European Journal of Pain is a multi-disciplinary international journal that aims to become a global forum on all major aspects of pain and its management. The journal differs from existing pain journals in its clinical and educational emphasis. Submissions from all over the world are welcome.
Under the guidance of an international multi-disciplinary Editorial Board, the journal publishes articles on clinical and basic research relevant to many medical specialities.
Please note that this complimentary access is linked to your membership of the EFIC Council.
As you are probably aware online access to the European Journal of Pain is also freely available to members of your Society. As a member of the EFIC Council you are encouraged to inform the members of your National Society of this offer and direct them to the EFIC website www.efic.org to register at www.efic.org/ejp_form.php.
Do you require any additional information or material for dissemination amongst your National Society members to promote this opportunity to access top quality scientific literature published in the European Journal of Pain? Please do not hesitate to contact EFIC (secretary@efic.org).
Your registration on the EFIC website will be forwarded to Elsevier and after 1 week you will receive a confirmation email from Elsevier providing you with a Society member number and your surname which is recorded in the EFIC database, together with a detailed explanation on how to claim access.

Guide to claim your free access
Dear
As a member of a National Society of EFIC and having completed the registration form at www.EFIC.org you are entitled to online access (sponsored by EFIC) to the European Journal of Pain at www.europeanjournalpain.com.
To activate your access
Please take the following steps:
1. Go to www.europeanjournalpain.com
2. Click on 'Activate Online Access' on the right side of the page
3. If you already have an account (this account may be linked to other Elsevier journals hosted on the Elsevier HealthConnect Platform), please provide your email and password and skip steps 4, 5 & 6 and continue with STEP 7

If you DO NOT have an ACCOUNT
Proceed with the following steps:
4. Register with your email address and create your own new password
5. Create a profile and continue
6. I want to activate European Journal of Pain, click Yes and continue
7. Click yes to the question you are a society member
8. Select European Federation of IASP Chapters (EFIC)
9. Insert your 'Society Member number' (This is a unique number generated by EFIC once you completed registration at their website.)
Insert: your name in the last name field (This is the surname that was used when you completed registration at the EFIC website.)
10. Click on continue and verify the information shown on the next screen.

Use your new logon details:
You have now linked your login details to the European Journal of Pain and have access to the full journal content. The next time you visit www.europeanjournalpain.com, please login to access the journal content.
Please note that you may update 'my alerts' at anytime to activate an email alert when Articles in Press become available or when a new issue has been published.
