NEWS

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

we are proud to announce that the website of the EFIC® Symposium "The Societal Impact of Pain" (SIP) held in Brussels earlier this year is now online at http://www.sip-meetings.org.

EFIC® organised the SIP Symposium because it is profoundly convinced of the importance of discussing the societal impact of pain with authorities, insurances, budget holders and strategic decision makers within national health care systems.

To further support EFIC's efforts in this important area, we have prepared a press release on the website's launch that we are distributing to the European media. Please feel free to translate and adapt this press release and send it to the press, social media, and other appropriate audiences in your countries.

Your help on spreading the word on SIP, as well as other EFIC initiatives, is important to the future of EFIC and continuously improving how pain is managed – in every sense of the word – in Europe.

Please also send us any eventual coverage from news outlets on the SIP Symposium, on the SIP website, or any other coverage important to EFIC so that we can share it within EFIC, with EFIC's partners, and and with healthcare policy-makers

The success of the first SIP has led to the planning of SIP 2011 (Brussels, May 6-7) . We will announce further details as well as the meeting proceedings at the website shortly.

Best regards,

Giustino
